Almost set to leave

Just a few days till I leave for Europe (Sept 4th) so I thought I'd start this up so anyone can see what I'm up to without having to remember everyone I need to email. So I'll do my best to keep this updated but I'm not really a blogger so we'll see how it goes.

For those who do not know what I'm doing: I am in a program called Semester Abroad: Europe. It's different from any travel abroad program because I will not be attended any schools over there. I will be researching an independent project of my choosing in a location, also of my choice. My current idea is to study the medieval arms and armories at different museums. Exactly what I'm going to study, I still don't know but I will go over there a do some generalized research to see what I'm interested in. I plan on starting at a museum in Leeds and see where I should go from there. I will be staying in hostels all along the way. The best part of this program is when we get there, we will stay in Paris for a week with none other than the Eiffel Tower right outside our window. Our next group meeting will be in Levanto, Italy for a few days then, for the rest of our time there (return flight on Dec 16th) we get to travel around Europe and have a blast doing it.

So I'm in the process of packing and almost have everything I need (I think). Don't try to call me while I'm over there, I'm going to put my phone on suspension so instead of paying $50 a month, it's only $10. So that's nice.
